What personal data do we process?

Account Registration

When you were asked to participate in a research project, either by Liveminds or a third-party you will have been asked for your name and email address. We use these details to create an account for you on our research platform. Your email address will be used to inform you of how the project is progressing and what you need to do next; it will not be used for marketing communications. We will not share your contact details with any third-parties for the purpose of sending you marketing communications.

Research Projects

A qualitative research project consists of a number of questions, specific to that particular piece of research. The data controller for the project should have outlined the types of questions that will be asked and how your personal data will be used at the start of the project. If they need to ask you about any special category data, such as details about your health, they will also ask for your explicit consent to process that data.

Who will my personal data be shared with?

Liveminds will share your contact details along with your responses to the research questions with Agency 3000.

Text content will be processed and stored on our UK-based servers. Any files or media that you upload to the platform either via the website or through our mobile applications will also be processed and stored on Amazon Web Services at their Ireland-based data centre.

For projects being conducted in languages other than English, we may also share your contact details with a member of our local support network who will be available to help if you have any problems during the running of the project.

Transfers of Personal Data

The personal data of EU data subjects may be transferred to, and stored in, the EEA, or countries that have been deemed adequate by the European Commission, or with providers that have an adequacy agreement in place e.g. EU-US Privacy Shield. Additionally, support for some of our services is outsourced to a service provider based in the Philippines. This means your information may be transferred to a country whose data protection laws are less strict than in Europe. Liveminds ensure that suitable safeguards are in place to protect your personal data by using contractual clauses with the service provider that are approved by the European Commission.

If you would you like further information on these transfers contact us at
